Dr Hakim is a Board member to each of the 5 CCGs in the CWHHE Clinical Commissioning Group Collaborative in Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hounslow, and Ealing. He sits on the Quality & Performance, Audit, Remuneration, Health & Safety, & Investment Committees, and 2013-2016 chaired the collaborative’ System Resilience Groups.
Publications & Research.
Co-author of 5 medical books, chapters in several major international Rheumatology textbooks, and with over 100 publications, including original papers, Dr Hakim has published widely in his field.
His research interests include the epidemiology of, and outcomes of treatments in rheumatic diseases.
Charities & Clinical Leadership.
A Trustee and Chief Medical Advisor to The Hypermobility Syndromes Association (HMSA), Dr Hakim dedicates time to supporting the charity, and its membership of patients, carers, and allied professional colleagues. He is a Medical Advisor to Ehlers-Danlos Support, UK, and in 2016 was appointed to the Medical & Scientific Board of The Ehlers-Danlos Society. In Leadership Dr Hakim is the co-producer, chair, and faculty teacher for the Pfizer iQ Leaders programme.
